Membership
There are various ways you can become a member of the World Federation of Healing (WFH). The usual route is as a Student, undertaking our two-year Healing course with one of our tutors. If you have trained as a Healer with another healing organisation that trains to a similar standard/length of time as the WFH, you may be eligible to join as a direct entry Full Healer member. Indeed, if you are a returning WFH Member the same applies.
Are you a trained Complementary Therapist? If so, you may apply to join as a Complementary Therapist Member and benefit from receiving preferential insurance rates as a member of WFH. NB: Reiki Practitioners who have completed an equivalent training can join as a Complementary Therapist member.
We also have a new category of membership - that of Associate Member. We have come to realise that there is a category of people who are practicing healers, but may not have been trained to the same criteria as our own. This is especially so for those who live outside of the UK. We can offer Associate membership, which means that you could still benefit from being a member of a worldwide healing organisation. We need proof of relevant qualifications backed up with references, etc. plus annual proof of insurance. Associates can then take up training to become Full Members if so wished. This is so new that we don't have an application form yet, so please contact the Administrator for details!
We especially welcome applications from allopathic doctors, paramedics and ministers of religion who regularly practice the ministry of healing. Please contact our Administrator for details.
The final category of membership is that of a Friend. Very importantly, the role offered by a WFH Friend is one of support. In addition, you may wish to alert the public to the availability of complementary therapies such as healing, homeopathy, osteopathy, reflexology, acupuncture, etc and may also help to form regional groups for fund raising in order to further the work of the Federation in its efforts to unite all forms of healing. Alternatively, you may wish to simply subscribe to the Federation - it really is up to you.
Regular member newsletters and Healing World magazines are circulated to all our members throughout the year. We hold an Annual General Meeting and a Conference is held every two years, which all members are very welcome to attend. We are also currently working on a Members section of the website, where you will have access to Regional Contacts, workshops, meditation groups etc. and have a chance to voice your thoughts with other members.
